Although seen as a school is a war-torn building,
Cherished for historical motives.
Our classroom never appear to disguise its beauty
from the beholders. With ceilings entirely torn,
lack of windows from its frames. Who dares to
question why this place is an unfenced compound.
While some of us settle for the plastered floor
with our tattered and mended uniforms.
Others are at the relief of the scarce furniture.
We have had one teacher and the principal,
making two handling over 500 students. They took
eleven subjects and at least nine classes daily.
Lack of amenities made our learning useless.
Although, we were given computers but no power supply
and a place to keep it. Our school serves contradicted
purpose as we share usefulness of the building,
with notorious elements using it at night for
shady purposes. The school ground is attractive to
thuggery and hooliganism. Our present condition
is alarming but unfortunate it is, we have deaf leaders!
