A Requiem for Pain

I lay my pain like a cadaver on the pyre

I am a witness to the funeral of my pain,

Burning it in Gasoline

I gather the ashes of the flames' meal

And scatter it to the winds

I know of men whose bodies

Are sepulchres for pain;

They're dead while breathing because they

 told them to wrap pain with smiles…since

Men don't cry, I am here as a lone witness

To the funeral of my pain, saying, dust to

 dusts. Ashes to ashes.
