Song and Dance Before the Sunset
walking down the winding path
where the mountain meets the sea.
the past breathes a salty breeze
on my skin, caressing me.
drops of rain run down my cheek
washing woes away from here.
i'll laugh at times you raged–
memories that i'll hold dear.
there's a song the shoreline sings,
cymbals crashing in its waves
of loud laughs and spirited dances
being the colour of our days.
when the sun dives deep into the sea,
and the stars come into view.
i'll reminisce alone on the alpine
our song and dance in the mountain dew.
